Peak Advisory — Colorado Springs bookkeeping and fractional CFO for construction, manufacturing, and trades

Who is Peak Advisory and what do they specialize in?

Peak Advisory is a Colorado Springs bookkeeping and fractional CFO firm built specifically for construction, manufacturing, and trades businesses. It combines enterprise-level financial rigor with a coaching-forward advisory relationship, giving owners a clean monthly close, forward-looking cash flow visibility, and an advisor who explains what the numbers mean and stays accountable alongside them. Construction and manufacturing is home base — not an afterthought.

About Jakob

The person behind the numbers

Jakob Kirschner grew up in a small town in rural Germany, in a family that taught him early that bringing order to a messy situation is one of the most useful things a person can do. That belief did not come from a textbook — it came from experience.

He built a decade-long career managing financial complexity for industrial companies across Europe — first as Group Controller at an international manufacturing firm, then as Investment Controller overseeing international subsidiaries. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Applied Sciences Heilbronn with a degree in Management & Corporate Accounting.

In 2024, he relocated to Colorado Springs with his family and founded Peak Advisory — because he saw what was missing in the market: a financial advisor who actually understood the construction and manufacturing world, and who brought both executive-level rigor and a genuinely human approach to serving small business owners.

He is calm when the situation is not. He asks questions before he gives answers. He will not hand you a report without telling you what it means.

Order as Care

"I was ten years old. My parents had hired a general contractor to renovate our new home — a big old farmhouse they were excited about. They trusted him with everything. It did not go well. He spent their money across other job sites, disappeared, and left the house gutted. Floors torn out. Walls demolished. A crew of confused workers sitting around with no boss and no direction.

My job, as the youngest one who could help, was to clean up the construction site. I collected tools scattered across every room. I swept the whole house top to bottom, every single day, to keep the dust from taking over the spaces we were still living in. I could not fix what had happened — but I could make sure things were in order. That became something I held onto.”

Order is not about perfection. It is about stability. When everything around you is uncertain, having something organized — even just a clean floor and tools in one place — gives you a place to stand. I bring that same instinct to financial work. The situation itself does not change when the books are right. But clarity chases off the panic, and panic is usually what makes hard situations worse.

Why contractors and trades owners choose Peak Advisory

Focused niche

Construction and trades is the only niche. Peak Advisory does not serve every small business that walks through the door. Construction, trades, and light manufacturing is the practice — and that focus is what makes the workbetter.

Enterprise-level rigor, human-scale delivery

Our founder spent years managing financial complexity for international corporate subsidiaries under German GAAP and IFRS. That background shapes the quality floor for every deliverable — regardless of client size.

The work is not finished until you can act on it

Every deliverable includes context and a clear next step. A report without a recommendation is not a finished deliverable.

Your CPA is a partner, not a cleanup crew

Peak Advisory's monthly close packages are designed to give your CPA exactly what they need — reconciled, organized, and ready to review. That is standard, not an upgrade.

No automated matching left unreviewed

Every entry in your books has a human set of eyes on it before it is delivered.
